March 13th - After our Breakfast Meeting we will ride the Fun Run route.
This will take most of the day as we won't
get started
until about 10 AM. Come with a full tank of gas and we will eat
"somewhere on the road".
April
10 - NO MEETING - This is our Early Spring Fun Run. It's time to
WORK!
May 8th - After our Breakfast Meeting we will ride to Bellingham and tour the
Radio Museum.
June 12th - After our Breakfast Meeting we will ride to the Underwater Museum
in Bangor. This will include ferry rides to and from the Kitsap
Peninsula.
July 10th - After our Breakfast Meeting we will ride US 2 EAST thru
Levenworth to Cashmere for some Ice Cream.
July
15th to 18th is the GWRRA Washington State Rally in Port Townsend on the
Kitsap Peninsula.
July 31st - we are planning a day ride EAST on WA 20 to Diablo Dam.
With some advance planning we can ride the boat across the lake to the dam and
have a lunch (Package Deal).
August 2nd - This will be a full day ride EAST on I-90 to Ellensburg, SOUTH thru
Yakima Canyon to Yakima and "Miner's for lunch, then returning WEST on US
12 and WA 410 and the East Side of Mount Ranier. This will be a "hot
and cold" trip.
August
14th - After our Breakfast Meeting we are planning an overnight campout at
the Hoh Rain Forest. We may make it a loop trip around the Olympic
Peninsula. This one needs further coordination.
Sept. 3rd - 6th - Gold Rush Campout in BC. This is a GWRRA Canada
event.
Sept. 11th - After our Breakfast Meeting we will be doing another overnite
camping trip. This one will involve a longer ferry trip to the San Juan
Islands. This event needs further coordination.
Sept. 12th - This is the Ride for Kids event in Carnation. This is a
individual event, not a Chapter event.
Oct. 9th - After our Breakfast Meeting we will have our Chapter Cider
Run. This is still in the planning stage.
IN OTHER
NEWS: The
Dec. Dinner Social had a low turnout, about 8 I think. The Jan. Dinner
Social had an even lower turnout, only 5 (at the Golden Corral no less!).
If the Feb. turnout at Famous Dave's is no better we will have to rethink the
concept. At our January Breakfast Meeting the members were outnumbered by
our guests. There were 11 guests from other chapters and 6 from
State. Visitation season is in full swing. At our Ride
Planning meeting on Jan. 30th Bud announced that he expects to be moving to
Hayden, Idaho soon, probably in April. This is part of the sale of
his business, Trikes Unlimited. Part of the deal is he provides on-site
training for up to 2 years. We will have a "long distance"
Chapter Director for a while.
Bud says he and
Sandy will drive over the pass each month for our Breakfast Meeting. A
600 mile round trip for breakfast is extreme dedication! I think the rest
of us are going to have to pitch in and pick up the slack.
Thats all for
now. RON
