Breakfast Meeting:  There will be NO BREAKFAST MEETING this month for the following reason:

Early Spring Fun Run:  Saturday,  April 10th is our Fun Run.  We are a small chapter and we need an all hands turnout to pull this off.  There will be a breakfast meeting of sorts, just not our "normal" location.  We will be meeting at the Buzz Inn Steak House, 17216 Smokey Point Dr. in Arlington at 6:30 AM or so.  Phone number is (360)  658-1529.  The Buzz Inn is in the same shopping center as the Smokey Point Cycle Barn, the ride's starting point.  We will be distributing the ride directions and filling any positions not yet covered.  We will be the last ride leaving from Cycle Barn at this location, as they are moving in May.  Their new location will be about a mile south on Smokey Point Blvd. at 152nd St. (it used to be a boat dealership).   The weather gods have smiled upon us many times in the past making for some great turnouts. As I am writing this Friday and Saturday are "dry days" in the extended forecast.  Everybody be nice to the weather gods so we can have another great turnout.

Dinner Social:  We, unfortunately, are faceing another meeting like last November's gathering at La Hacienda in Everett.  This will NOT be a chapter funded meal as we haven't recovered financially from last November.  Bud is resigning at the end of this month. He and Sandy will be moving to  Idaho in May.  To date nobody has expressed interest in taking over as Chapter Director.  If nobody steps up, this will be the chapter's  "Last Supper", the end of the Cool Cats.   When Bud agreed last November to take the CD position (for the 5th time) we knew this was just a band-aid.  He had already told everyone he would be moving to Idaho in the spring.  Well, the spring is here and he is moving.  In the last Newsletter and at the Last Meeting it was emphasized that we needed a strong turnout at the April 1st Staff Meeting at Phil and Judy Holmes house to make final preparations for the Fun Run.  Four people appeared; Bud, Sandy and Danny Wells, and Ron Slusher.  At last December's Breakfast Meeting (Bud's first as CD) we had a great turnout.  Since then visitors have outnumbered members (thank goodness for visitation season).  Bob Spencer, the Washington District Director, has expressed his desire to keep Chapter C alive, even if he has to lead the chapter himself.  Do we have enough followers for him to lead?  Come to the meeting and let your voices be heard.

No meeting date has been set yet.  It probably will occur during the week after the Fun Run - April 11 - 17.  I will send another email when the date and location is set.

Your closest alternatives to Chapter C are as follows:

GWRRA Chapter E  meeting at Denny's, 2233 148th Ave NE in Bellview at 8:30 AM the 3rd Saturday of the month.

GWTA Chapter C meeting at the Eagles, 1216 Broadway in Everett (our old meeting place) at 8 AM the 1st Saturday of the month.

Thats All for now.        Ron

The Dinner Social will happen next week on Wednesday, April 21st at 6:30 PM.  The location is Jeno's Restaurant & Italian Cuisine, 123 Main St. in Monroe.  Phone number is (360)  794-5990.  If you are coming via US 2, Exit at WA 203 Southbound toward downtown Monroe.  The traffic signal after the railroad tracks is Main St.  Turn left (E) on Main St.  Jeno's is on the left shortly after you turn.  Bud is still planning to resign, although the move date is now a moving target.  Sandy told me the new owners are so indecisive that "they might be here for Christmas".  In spite of this "moving target", Bud is going to resign and we need a new Chapter Director.  Bob Spencer, the WA District director, has scheduled our regular meeting on May 8th at Denny's.  More information in the May Newsletter after our May Staff Meeting on April 29th.

Anybody who wants to be a Chapter Director must take the Officer Certification Program training presented by GWRRA personnel.  All of you should have received an email from Bob Spencer / Mike Briggs from WA District concerning a training class at Denny's (our breakfast meeting site).  The training dates are Saturday, April 24th (8:00 AM to 5:30 PM) and Sunday, April 25th (8:00 AM to about 12:30 PM).  Meal are "on your own".  Please let Bud know if you are going to take this class.

Staff Meeting:  Thursday, April 29th at 6:30 PM.  Meeting is at Phil and Judy Holmes home, 6905 22nd Dr. in Tulalip.  Phone number is (360)  659-8079.  From I-5 Exit 199 go WEST on Marine View Drive to 23rd Ave. NE.  Turn RIGHT (N) on 23rd Ave NE to Sturgen Dr.  Turn LEFT (W) on Sturgen Dr. to 22nd Dr.  Turn RIGHT (N) on 22nd Dr.NE to 6905 (on the right, RV Trailer in driveway).  We will discuss the Fun Run results and the CD situation.

For your Information:  Chapter E has a new meeting location.  They meet at the Family Pancake House in Redmond.  Breakfast is at 7:30 AM with the meeting starting at 8:00 AM on the 3rd Saturday of the month.  Address is 17621 Redmond Way (WA 202).  From I-405 go EAST on WA520 to WA 202 / Redmond Way Exit.  Turn RIGHT on Redmond Way.  The restaurant is close to the exit.

I will put out the newsletter after the Staff Meeting.  That's all for now.     RON
